Madison attractions include the Henry Vilas Zoo and Museum Mile. Cultural allure comes via the Madison Repertory Theater, Madison Opera and Madison Symphony. Other attractions include the Olbrich Botanical Gardens and the University of Wisconsin Arboretum. State Street, a pedestrian mall linking the U-W Madison campus with the Capitol Square, is lined with shops, restaurants and outdoor cafes. In fact, argument has been made that Madison has more restaurants per capita than any other American city, heavy on ethnic eateries and brew pubs to keep good times rolling. Major malls include East Towne, Hilldale, West Towne, Westgate, and Johnson Creek Outlet Center, 30 miles east of Madison with 60 brand name stores.
